Re: Hamlib error

Jason is spot on. In addition there's one other thing that helped me out with this. Connect a resonant counterpoise wire to your radio ground. Even if you have a station ground, DC grounds are often poor RF grounds. Having a resonant counterpoise to throw out for each band you operate on (I have a small bundle that all connects to one connector at the radio) will encourage the RF to go out of the wire and away from your rig.

So what is very interesting is that I could not get FLrig to connect to the radio until I close down, restarted and then was able to connect to the radio. After I?closed down FL Rig?properly and then launched WDJTx And I was able to get control, but what¡¯s interesting is that after a few cycles I lose rig?control in WDJTx. What could be causing this?
Not always but typically this is a symptom of Radio Frequency Interference. Try ferrite beads on all of the cables connected to the Pi and use as short of cables as possible. RFI drove me nuts a couple of years ago in a mobile install
