Thanks for the information. I had read that blog post over the weekend, but although the autor provides crucial information, I was unable to tie his ideas together enough to make the project work.
On the other hand, today I put some time into this and after consulting several sources, including a couple of videos from Mr. Oleham (KM4ACK), I successfully put the pieces together (i.e. connected a Pi 3B+ via Bluetooth to a TH-D74 and reliably and consistently sent and received emails through Pat). Tomorrow I will go through the process again from the ground-up. If I can validate the procedure, I'll come back to this forum and share the steps (if it is OK with all).
