Re: New install BT Mobilinkd TNC3

Thanks Dominic ! I¡¯ll try that. In reading more, looks like I need to add an ¡°overlay¡± for the device.

Using `rfcomm connect...` is practically the same, but you may need to
leave the terminal window open and quit with `CTRL+C` when you're done
with the connection.

hope that helps,

OK, next issue ¡

First off, I reviewed Jason¡¯s YT video on the TNC3 and the updated PAT
Menu - about 2 years old - and the older (pre-PAT Menu) video using a
TNC2 - about 5 years old.

Going to PAT Menu -> start/stop modem -> Start Mobilinkd Modem BT. Get
connection successful. Clicking Start Mobilinkd Modem BT again (as
required) does NOT give a connect and HTTP. It restarts the first
dialog - endless loop..

I tried to do the older method with copying the MAC address with
hcitool scan and then running rfcomm connect an I got a permission
denied for connect.

I tried going wired to the TNC3 and it worked flawlessly.

Any help appreciated. Going to stop here for the day - not tackling
VARA until later !
