I don't know the specific Mint Linux install process, but it sounds like Mint is asking you to *create* a sudo password, and it is programmatically rejecting using your user password for sudo.

That's just a guess, maybe it will help.

I have a lenovo laptop running Mint. Decided to load 73Linux. Twice I have gotten to dialogue box prompt where it asks me to enter my sudo password. I do not know what it is looking for but it will not accept my password. What am I doing wrong? Only password I have ever set on the cptr is the sign in which I believe is also used as the sudo pswd.

Thankfully I had made a snapshot in timeshift, so easy to reset to square one.?
