Tried a few things this morning, on a backup sd card:
1. Uninstalled wsjtx, since it was installed from apt rather than 73linux.
2. Ran sudo apt remove libhamlib-utils as suggested by Jason.
3. Tried rigctl -l again and got the same error.
4. Removed and reinstalled hamlib from 73linux. Tested again, same error.

So no joy there. Tried reinstalling wajtx from 73linux, installed ok it appeared, but the app isn't there... Not on the menu and unrecognized command when asked in terminal. (That was why I went with an apt install last time, btw).

So nothing much accomplished. I'll put this sd card aside and put the one back in that mostly works, for now. Any suggestions appreciated, but no urgency of course since the system mostly works.
