Just wanted to post here that I've been working with botspot?& gman to merge VARA HF into pi-apps officially.
This installation should be more automatic now just by installing pi-apps and choosing VARA HF from the "Engineering" apps menu.
I'll work on fixing my Winelink script too, though I don't have a solid ETA on that.

I did try installing on a 64bit Bookworm, but nothing happened when I tried running VARA.? In running directly from a terminal (via "wine VARA.exe" in "~/.wine/drive_c/VARA/"), I get a bunch of errors which do look like ?32bit/64bit issues002c:
