Just watch Jason's video on connecting up the D74/75 to YAAC. ? I have the D74 and the instructions worked and I am receiving and mapping packets. ?I initially had problems getting GPS data to show up. ?On the D74 in the GPS setup, item 405, PC output needs to set to "on". ?After that, I started to see GPS data when I ran cgps. ?Interestingly, when I ran cgps, the left side has my lat. and long data, altitude, and grid square, but no satellite data is displayed, even after the radio been on for an hour. ?Not sure if the D74 just doesn't have a complete lock - the gps icon continually flashing. ?But, seems to not be causing any problems (Conky picks us the grid square data from it).
One question I had is enabling transmit. ?I configured the rfcomm port to allow enable transmit. ?Is there another setting somewhere that I am forgetting. ?Right now if I click on the Beacon icon or send a message ( such as to WXBOT), the view raw packets indicate the program does send the packet but the radio does not transmit.
