Rocky has the latitude coordinates and Boris has the longitude coordinates. Put the two together, find the spot on the map, and when you go there you should hear Bullwinkle. From that point you will need to navigate through radio direction finding to the exact location.

ARISS SSTV Event Underway
ARISS SSTV Event Underway[This article courtesy AMSAT and the ANS-364 AMSAT News Service Weekly Bulletin of Dec. 29, 2024] Well underway for the holidays and New Year, ARISS’ Slow Scan Television (SSTV) event began on December 25 and will continue until January 5, 2025. Series 23 consists of 12 pictures celebrating ARISS memories of 2024. Ending time for the transmissions is tentatively January 5 at 14: 20 UTC. On the ISS, the Service Module radio is being used and the ISS callsign is RS0ISS; Images are transmitted on 145.800 MHz FM and the SSTV mode is PD120. Everyone is invited to upload their decoded images in the ARISS gallery, area “Series 23 Holiday 2025” at: https://ariss-usa.org/ARISS_SSTV. Once you’ve submitted your image, just click on the dedicated button and you can apply for the official ARISS SSTV award. Also, European stations can request the ARISS QSL by contacting the European QSL bureau:?. To support everyone interested in such events, the European Space Agency released tutorials about how to receive pictures transmitted over amateur radio by the International Space Station: you can find them on? I am still looking for radio operators to help support the YMCA's Turkey Trot event on Thanksgiving Day. I've you've been on the fence, not sure about your plans, or whatever else please, please PLEASE, go to and sign up now. We need you. As of this morning I still?have 10 positions open.
If you've never heard of the Turkey Trot before (I'm surprised!) it is the Dallas YMCA's largest fundraising event with over 50 years of tradition?behind it. You can get an overview of the event from?

If you're wondering what you would do at the event as a radio operator, we have a number of different?positions available. The main thing we do is relay messages (in real time) between different areas of the race. There the start and finish lines are separated by a block or two, and there are water stops along the route. If you are athletic that is very helpful but it is not required. A number of the roles will work just fine for people with limited mobility.?

If you've never done a public service event before - that is just fine. The?Turkey?Trot is a good "first time" event.? It is also good practice for radio operators planning to work the Dallas Marathon next month.
?
If you can't come out yourself, you can still help support the event by spreading the word through your local nets, club meetings, email lists, etc.? All you need to say is "Go to W5FC.org and look at the top of the page". The signup is right there. Anything you do to get the word out will be appreciated.?

Nov 2024 SSTV?With the new hardware and software installed and tested, here comes another SSTV event. ARISS?Slow?Scan?Television (SSTV)?transmissions from the International Space Station?are planned to start Monday, November 11 about 11:50 UTC and to end Monday, November 18 about 13:40 UTC. There will be some interruptions on Friday and Saturday to allow for the crew to conduct some school contacts. Downlink frequency will be 145.800 MHz FM. Images will be transmitted in SSTV mode PD-120. The transmissions will consist of 12 imagers featuring activities from the 40th Anniversary celebrating amateur radio in human spaceflight.? ? Hi, my name Richard Sander, son of Dick Sander (K5QY). Sadly, he and mom passed earlier this year and have left a home in Murphy Texas with 5 or more towers. One 90’ fold over tower, 4 about 30’ towers and misc. receiving assemblies. I am looking for a trade consisting of the removal of the towers which can be kept, along with his miscellaneous Ham gear (minimalized list below).

It is very interesting and he's got a nice development page, as well as a git-hub with feature requests, and bug reports. Clarification to Use of Winlink During Natural Disaster in Southeast
Thanks to John Galvin, N5TIM, we have received a clarification to the official announcement posted on the Winlink website regarding limiting use of Winlink during the severe hurricane activity in the southeast:
Per Tom, N5TW, Winlink Development Team, here is a clarification;
Telnet and local VHF/UHF traffic that goes through the CMS will not interfere with HF Winlink traffic and is fine.
