Here's a rough draft for promoting club committees.

What is you're interest in Ham Radio?

The club offers many ways to apply your interests immediately.
Whether it be ragchewing and conversing with other hams on a regular "net" or
Event organization? Helping to plan our club's Field Day deployment.
Managing people?? You can help organize and manage public service events.
Do you love detail work and can help maintain the club's repeater systems?
Finding topics and speakers of interest to help program the club meetings?
Good talking to the public? Can you help outreach to new hams in the area, or newly licensed hams?
Maybe you're into digital modes?? Or CW?? Or contesting?? Building go-kits?
You can use the K5PRK meetings and mailing list to connect with others
And board members welcome assistance -

I had an idea on the way home after the meeting,

At the meeting last night, we had a new, returning member who just passed his extra license, and as part of the presentation I talked about how these various committees are always looking for people to work with them. So whether it be working on the repeater, or working on the newsletter, or public relations, or field day planning, weekly net activity, if someone has a particular interest, they need only to reach out to that board member to lend a hand. It's a great way to get involved and help grow the clubs activities.

I could definitely see a couple heads looking around and nodding in agreement, and I think this might be a good tactic to repeat — we're not asking people to do something specific, we're asking what they are interested in. Then telling them that they need only to reach out to a board member or someone in the club to pursue that interest in the club, making it easier to get involved, and hopefully making different tasks that we do easier.

We could extend this by finding out what cool activities other club members are involved in, like Tony's 3D printing, and see if they'd like to include their activities in some general announcements, furthering interest in what club members offer.
