This group facilitates the discussion for all things related to the LucasARC.
The LucasARC meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM, at the Lucas Fire Station (in the training room) on Country Club Road @ Lucas Rd.
We have a System Fusion (C4FM) capable repeater: K5LFD 442.2125+ PL 91.5, located at the Lucas Fire Station.
We hold an informal net (FM) every Tuesday night at 8:00 pm CT.? Everyone is welcome to join the net.

The Lucas Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Training Net (FM) meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 8:00 PM CT
This net exercises our ability to activate a net and provide support for the Lucas EOC in times of need.
In the event of a repeater outage, this net will shift to 442.2125 MHz Simplex.

The Allen Stake of the LDS Church holds an Emergency Net (FM) on the 2nd sunday of the month at 8:30 PM local time.?

Wires-X is now active on the repeater.? ?The K5LFD repeater is Node 53204, and the K5LFD default Wires-X room ID is 63204.

- Feel free to try it out, both on local C4FM repeater mode and by connecting to the plethora of Wires-X rooms and Nets.
- When using the C4FM mode, please be considerate of our FM users and the scheduled FM nets.? Listen first on FM to see if the repeater is in use.
- Before going digital, locally or by joining a Wires-X room (especially a busy room or a net), please announce your intention on FM so our FM users will know what the constant digital noise (when hearing C4FM in FM mode) is all about.
- When you are no longer using a Wires-X room please disconnect from that room, so we all aren't hearing that rooms digital activity ( * key ).
?Suggestions are welcomed, and all this should flesh out as we get used to a combination FM / C4FM repeater.? In the meantime, have fun learning a new mode and the "Wide-Coverage Internet Repeater Enhancement System" (Wires-X).? ?
