Yes, for people like you who are very active in ARES and other organizations, you can certainly make good use of that kind of large battery system. Me, I¡¯m right now just ¡°thinking about it,¡± and would want to keep things as simple and lightweight as possible ¡ª with what I have. I would need a smaller, lighter CW paddle, and probably a headset with a boom mic. Oh, a simple, easy-to-deploy multi-band antenna would help, too. :-) I guess I¡¯ll think along the lines of POTA.

I got that one to go with a multi radio go box and assuming the epic pwrgate is ever back in stock the box should be able to run on AC or DC (primary or backup) power with an optional solar panel. Or at least that was my plan.
