Get get together 2
I would love a K2B get together. but Virginia is a large state and I wouldn't want to drive 2 hours for lunch. I see many that are bragging large numbers of contacts. I am proud of my 215 contacts as K2B. I avoided pileups and operated at a comfortable pace. 73, Bill de K3WD

N1RM Effort this year 2
Hi guys. I¡¯ve been flying under the radar this year, but did manage to get on for a little while. This summer has presented a remarkable number of items tugging on my calendar, so I did not get the time I wanted for K2B. I do want to thank Steve, N2FT, for coming over and running the station for a while as K2B. Steve is a great guy and wonderful CW op, so add him to your ¡°begging list¡± for next year! Here are the pitiful totals: 40M 30 QSOs 20M 229 QSOs Total 259 QSOs, all CW. 73, and hope to do better next year! Rick N1RM

W5ODJ 2023 LOG 2
David, Attached is my log for this year. I worked 20 meters this year an only in the open hours of the late evening and early morning. Between travel and work I did what I could. While I only did 165 contacts it was a lot of fun. 20 meters is very interesting. I made contacts in places I never have before (north slope Alaska) and many I had but still fun (Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand) and then much of Europe mostly on the back side of my beam pointing west. It took me a while to realize I could go from S5 to +20 once I figured out who was calling. This event is a ton of fun. Sign me up for next year and I will do my best to be here to do more time in my seat. Have a good week. John -- DE W5ODJ John Westerman

Hello all, I had hoped to make 1,000 QSOs this year but owing to bad weather I fell a bit short. Here's the breakdown of QSOs by band & mode: 80 FT8: 41 40 FT8: 109 40 SSB: 489 14 FT4: 55 14 FT8: 159 Total 853 There are a few dupes in there but I don't think that's a big deal in this kind of event. My logging software wants me to put something in the location field for DX QSOs, so I need to do that before providing an ADIF file. IARU HF Championship is about to start, so I won¡¯t get to this until later. For your temporary tally, I had 214 unique QSOs plus 7 dupes on a combination of 40, 20, and 15 CW in the last few days of the event. Bud, W2RU

After action net? 8
Hey David - should we have an after action HF net on 40M tomorrow or Saturday? Just an idea. In the olden days, we had an HF net after the VHF contests at 11:00pm where everybody reported their scores. Great time to get together with your competition. Way before 3830. This event sort of reminds me of the camaraderie of a VHF contest. Not sure of a good time. I would be interested in hearing experiences.
