The self-spotting feature of N1MM is relatively new. For obvious reasons, the default is “off”.? UDC’s of contests that permit it must be updated to enable the {SPOTME} macro.

If you want, you can add the following line at the end of the 13COLONIES.udc file:

SelfSpotAllowed = True

It is just a text file, so any text editor will do.

Rick, typing in K2B and using ALT-P has worked.??? The {SPOTME} command in the macro had no effect for me.?? Stu, when I was on 20m earlier I wasn't making many contacts so checked out the RBN and found I was booming into Europe and the west coast but crawling "db" wise in the rest of the USA.? I'm using a dipole at 50 feet. SO I understand the too high antenna issue. This is why we don't do many stateside contests at NR4M....? Tried RTTY earlier for giggles.. zero contacts.?? Competing today with the RAC contest is not helping.... Still having fun. ?? Good luck all.

Try typing K2B into the callsign field and hitting ALT-P.? It worked for me.

I did not notice any evidence of being spotted in the INFO window in N1MM so I decided to Self-Spot.??? That's when I received this message. " No Self Spotting Allowed in this Contest".?? Am I using an outdated UDC or is this something to be corrected?? Fortunately, I had lots and lots of spots on RBN so I was being spotted after all.
