I installed the N1MM+ User Defined Contest file; it displays the entire exchange for 13 Colonies.? I think it is more intended for chasers but will work fine for us.? Instructions are here:?? and the 13 Colonies files are here:?? ?Outline of what I did (I may be glossing over a few steps)
  1. Download and unzip the file
  2. Copy the different files to the appropriate locations, the important one is?13COLONIES.udc
  3. I had to edit the Name entry in the udc file (remove the spaces) to get it to show up in the list of contests.? The "Display Name" field is fine as-is.
  4. I had to restart N1MM+ before trying to create a new log using the udc file
That was pretty much it.? I'll have to do a few odd things for logging satellite QSOs properly but I think it will work fine.??

I believe there is a N1MM+ template (possibly a User-Defined Contest) for 13 Colonies but General DX Logging is fine for our purposes as long as we are certain to create a blank log, no previous QSOs in it. Of course we have to set our callsign to K2B for this log in the setup screen.?

For logging FT8/FT4, we also have to set the callsign to K2B. I leave the grid as my own. I clean out the existing ?.adi log file so only the K2B contacts will be in the log. Because stuff happens, I copy this log to a memory stick and/or the cloud after each session.?

When the event ends, I import the FTx log file into the N1MM+ log and send it as an .adi to our noble leader.?

I¡¯m sure there are other ways that also work but this is how I have done it in the past. 73, Kay N3KN

Sean, in the past I have just used "DX? General Logging" in N1MM as my template. As you know, all that is so-called important is to collect callsigns.

Hi folks,

First time operating at K2B and it's been a couple of years since I've been around to participate in 13 Colonies so a bit rusty on how things work.

Is there an N1MM config I should use?

Thanks,

Sean N3RTW
