What Kay says. I was just reading the thread and pondering this when she replied.? This sounds like a big rats nest trying to sort out 23K QSOs, so I have to agree with Kay.. I hyperventilate every time I have to renew my certificate.? Uploading all of us in bulk or separately by operator sounds like an invitation for trouble to me. Cheers and 73, Chuck K4QS

I've been on LoTW since beta testing days and have uploaded logs for special callsigns I used in various operating events such as the Hiram Percy Maxim Birthday hootenannies of past decades. In order to upload to LoTW, you must have a certificate with which to sign the log. For a special call such as a 1x1, you have to request a certificate subsidiary to the one for your your normal personal call, specifying the start and end dates of your 1x1 operation. This distinguishes it from other iterations of the same 1x1 callsign as used by other operations. Because a bunch of us used K2B during the same time period, I doubt that the system would let each of us get certificates for K2B, so to speak, in parallel. David, you would have to do it. Sounds like a huge investment of time and effort to please relatively few of the 23k we worked. Most 1x1 operations are small potatoes compared to the 13 Colonies. One person who knows the ropes of LoTW can easily handle getting a certificate and uploading the relatively small logs. Not the case for us. We have a honker of a combined log. Not my decision, but if it were, I would tell people that we are not doing LoTW. Period. Virginia isn't a rare state. If they complain, let 'em. 73, Kay N3KN On Thu, Aug 31, 2023 at 7:18?PM David Wright <dwright@...> wrote: I have many requests to upload K2B log(s) to Logbook of the World. |
