Re: Kurzweil K1000 Special Edition for free
I think the A block upgrade is included in the SE line. I did the B block upgrade to my Mark II and it was well worth getting it done.

Re: Kurzweil K1000 Special Edition for free
Just curious; do you know what version it is? I was looking at the list here: https://www.k1000.net/programs.htm - thanks /Chuck

Re: Kurzweil K1000 Special Edition for free
Okay, if someone else doesn't want it, let me know what the best shipping price is to zip code 75228. Fedex doesn't do as well delivering here, so best to avoid them as an option. Nicole

I¡¯ll take a look after work today. Thanks for the heads up. I¡¯ll probably throw the Wayback Machine link in there too. Thanks, Max [email protected]> wrote:

Re: Broken link
Someone besides me will need to make that change. I can handle message control, but digging into the group's webpage isn't something I can do, thanks to my blindness.

Re: Broken link
I looked up http://raytclark.0catch.com/K1000/K1000.html ( http://raytclark.0catch.com/K1000/K1000.html ) on archive.org, the last capture that has K1000 information is June 7th 2002. I think the

Re: Kurzweil K1000 Special Edition for free
This is a handy keyboard to have. IIRC, they integrated the expansion daughterboard into the unit, so upgrading is filling ROM slots, updating the OS, and handling jumper stuff. I have the mark II

Just to add to what others have said: The most common paper electrolytic caps in older equipment were manufactured by putting an insulating paste between two conductors then applying a small trickle

Kurzweil K1000 Special Edition for free
This was something my late wife had an attachment to. None of us know what to do with it. I'd rather someone got some use from it rather than sending it to a landfill. There are also some manuals that

Re: Upgrading the 1000Series Modules
That would be fine. First I need the module working, but with luck that'll happen, so there's no rush. Nicole

Nicole, I have both a programmer and chips; however, I live in NE Ohio, and am currently dealing with the aftermath of the recent storm events. If you're not in a hurry, I can get them programmed for

Re: Upgrading the 1000Series Modules
Thanks. I don't know if David Brown managed to get the eight button Pro3 upgrade for the GX, but from what I've been told there's nothing in the Pro3 that isn't available from the Pro1 or Pro2. This

I have a chip burner, and have done them before, however it is in storage in Hawaii and I am not in Hawaii.? You should purchase new chips, if possible. I also have the eraser, and it does work, if

Upgrading the 1000Series Modules
Okay, for those of you who are new to this, or have forgotten, here's the way this works. David Brown got Kurzweil to give us the right to burn update ROM chips as long as it wasn't for profit.

Re: A Nonfunctioning 100gx -- Something new
That¡¯s a tough one. I don¡¯t know anyone that does that. Maybe someone in the group may know someone. Did it have sounds prior to the current issue? If not, or they are garbled nonsense, have

Okay, another question -- assuming I can get this up and running again, is there anyone who can burn OS 5.x into chips for it? Nicole
