Mulling it over; we have a "K1000", but it has some degree of upgrades. I'm no expert on the confusing nature of the 1000 series upgrades, though! My quick looking into it gave me the impression that this one is probably newer / more upgraded. My daughter really likes some of the sounds in the unit we have, so I figured a bump might be a good thing. I forget how to check the OS version, but will try to find it.
