And here it is the result. The ultracheap display works on the K1000 modules series. It is not an impossible task, but for a very few cost you can get an acceptable -not perfect- result. Most important thing is about contrast, that I solved by placing the module on the lower side of the rack, so I can read perfectly the displayed characters.? LED backlight is very good, too much light for a dark environment, but it won?t burn your eyes. Second is about LCD module placement into the chassis: you have to make some brico tricks to place it on the right place. Original display is a lot much thinner. And finally you will need soldering skills to desolder the display wires (14 iirc) and resolder them on the new display. No connectors, etc....
