When did the RARC become financially strap. Well, that's what one non-member wrote and where there's one there's probably way more and they are telling..............think about it. careful what you say on the repeater and finance probably shouldn't be, now fund raiser for special project like maybe more rope, ya talk it up but not until after a club meeting where it it decided as a whole that's the direction to go just my thoughts Joel KC0ELZ Bike MS Motorcycle Coordinator Volunteering to Make A Differences .........For God........... FIRST IDEAS? 2
The wheels are in motion for a CW class. There has been a rash of support for this from the Larry's List announcement, which I appreciated but didn't think of asking him to do. Jeremy, would you post the CW information Bob provided? How could I help the RARC to use this as an outreach?

Bob VK2MRJ on Hillary's Vegemite Quip while down under
Bob et al, Hillary's quip about "Vegetime" instead of "Vegemite", as you quoted her below, just goes to show that she doesn't have a clue that attempting to smear a glob of Vegemite on a piece of soft, fresh, warm, wonderfully aromatic bread will likely tear it apart. In my experience one must insult a piece of dry bread or at least a piece of toast or an English muffin with the tarry stuff to do so without incurring total destruction. I doubt the gooey goo can even be applied onto a biscuit (USA type, not a cookie, that would be criminal) without disintegrating it. They're just not crisp or firm enough to stand up to the attempt. Given the hypocritical PC state of the world today, I wonder if forced use of Vegemite would be considered the equivalent, or worse, than water boarding an enemy combatant? Will the Aussie press dare raise that issue, by way of retribution, with the Secretary of State before she escapes their clutches? Hi Hi, Doug wa0emx

Head injury 5
First, I would like to thank ALL of you for your thoughts and concerns that you spoke to me the night I went off the air. I wanted to get the word out of my condition as soon as I had the opportunity, as I know all of you are concerned since I went silent. I hit my head Sunday and lost consciousness. They say I have a Grade 3 Concussion and my brain is bruised, which is the worst Grade of concussion you can have. The good news is that it's just barely a Grade 3 concussion, but that's also the bad news. I've been closely watched and doing nothing, as to limit the risks associated with this type of injury. The risks are minimal now that it's almost been a week since the injury. I will be able to be at the CW class, have the teaching material, and teach the class. Thanks to W0AO (Bob) for being able to also be at the class to help! Please forgive any randomness to this email, I hope it made some type of sense. Steve N0TES

Club Promotion 4
One of the things that has come out of the fund raising discussion is the thought of increasing membership and better promoting the club. To that end Randy (KD0HKD) has created this flyer. Please take a look at it and provide feedback. We are going to take feed back for the next few weeks and then send it to the printer. I must say it looks great. Good job Randy. http://k0pdx.us/Membership/Files/General/K0GQbrochure.pdf (Username: K0GQ Password: K0GQ) note that it is the club call in all uppercase. K0PDX
