Hello Mike, Regarding your question about building your own roller furler. I made my jib furler for my Eco6 catamaran. This was not a furler with a luff spar, but rather the jib furls around its own

520 build in Florida
1. I was wondering if I used a aluminum sailboat mast if less standing rigging would be required. If so the placement of said rigging would be helpful. 2. Anyone have any idea how to DIY a roller

G'day Daniel. I too recommend Trojan Fibreglass series 500 resin. I recently used it for a small project and had no problems. A friend finished up using it on his balsa core 45 foot power cat.
