Re: KD 122 Italy
Brian
We made in this time for a part our sails too. These were developed with a very good sailmaker in the Netherlands. This was before big companies like BIC were stepping into the windsurfing business. Remember, this was before the digital time. So no videos.? Cheers Bernd |

Re: KD 122 Italy
Bernd, great photo. A pity there were no videos from your sailing of the 425 prototype. Those are great looking sails and very modern looking for 1986. Having good sails for a boat is more important than a lot of people realise.?

Re: KD 122 Italy
Ursi and I are on our DUO 425 on the beach from Vieste 1986. Fantastic sailing with the DU 425 prototype. The boat was a sensation. Nobody had seen a parallel rig catamaran at this time. We were there for four weeks in Vieste.? Please send me the videos to my email. Cheers Bernd |

Re: KD 122 Italy
And yes, one of the wonderful places on my coast.
The photo shows the arch of San Felice south of Vieste.
I have two videos of the Kd 860 Zeus ready, how can I send them to you? Private mail?
?
Ps the KD 122 I can assure you that it is not only a light but robust boat. A jewel will emerge at the end of the work. |

Re: KD 122 Italy
Hi Domenico
Thank you for the information.? The problem with bigger boats Too much interior to build and it can get lost in details. OK, your situation is different. The boat is built?for a client. I am curious about the videos from the Puglia region I just got an old picture from the area I made many years ago in my fingers during?the same period, we sailed the DUO 425 there. We needed 3 hours to set up the?boat on the beach with all the friendly help from the people from Vieste.? Normally the boat is set up in 15 minutes. Cheers? Bernd |

Re: KD 122 Italy
As you've always told me: it's difficult to find space in a catamaran with asymmetrical hulls.
From your project I only modified the aft rooms and added an extra bulkhead between BH 4 and 5 to add doors in both the left and right hulls. In my opinion the boat is more comfortable at cruising level for 6 people.
The customer wanted to modify the sofa to create space for a good refrigerator.
Unfortunately the delay is due to the certification of the electrical system so the interior had these delays. The design of the electrical system was made by an engineer.
The KD122 Ital will have EU certification without limits from the coast.

For the DUO 900 we will test the mainsail on the wing mast. Unfortunately he missed the summer season....

Zeus works well in charter, I will send you several videos along the Gargano National Park (Puglia)
Wonderful boat like ZEUS.... |

Chiao Domenico
I was already wondering if we could see nothing from you. It was logical that there would be changes on the inside. The good thing is that between the bulkheads, anything can be changed without weakening the structure of the boat. Did you do some sailing with Zeus or the? DUO 900? Ciao? |

KD 122 Italy
Hi Bernd, we are nearing the end of the work inside the boat.
Some photos of the modification of the sofa, the modification was used to fit an excellent refrigerator on the kitchen side.
The new stairs have also been completed, the internal hull and door frame lining has been finished, all that remains is the closing of the roof lining of the central cabin.

Re: Bernd Kohler
Sorry, again I give the same building time because, look at the extra cabin sides on the cockpit side. The more complicated entrances.
In the end, to be honest, you will need a bit more time.? Bernd |

Re: Bernd Kohler
Dear Bernd,
Sorry, I have a different but related question, having also bought the Omega study plans recently. I appreciate that when you do provide an estimated build time for designs it is with the clear caveat that every builder will need a different time to complete according to their skillset, work speed and desired level of finish. However... For both the original 860 and for the Omega you indicate the build time being the same. I had anticipated that the Omega would be a little quicker due to the open cockpit concept. Please can you clarify whether or not you expect builders will see a meaningful saving in time if choosing to build the Omega version? Thanks and regards, Adrian |

Hello, good morning, I bought the KD860-omega- study plan on July 8, 2022, with these technical data:
Technical Data
length 5.20 m
Beam 2.50 m
Draft 0.26 m
draft rudder 0.60 m
Power, outboard engine 3hp
Empty weight 260kg
Weight max. 580kg
L/B ratio hulls 1:14
sail are both versions o.20 m2
?
-they did not match the original version. I have seen a similar concern on the forum. Could you confirm, to clear up doubts? Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much.

Re: KD860 Open
Hi Alain
You are right. The correct one is these. Point is Yahoo sold the web hosting to another company who changed the server system. I can not work with it and have to switch over to another hosting service. In the meantime, here is Bernd |

Hi Bernd, Hi all,
the biplane rig is very interesting, just a question: how do you reduce the surface of the mainsail? |

Re: KD860 Open
Hi Bernd,
The two specifications in the pictures that you sent yesterday are the same. The dimension I have on my KD860 Open dxf drawing are L.O.A: 8.6m and Beam CL to CL: 4.3m. Draft CWL is 401mm. The weight was stated at 1200kg with a permissible payload of 2000kg. The recommended engine power was 10HP. You may want to change the information on your webpage. Best Regards, Alain |

Re: Payment for this group is due
Hi to all and
Bonjour Stephan
?
I have no other system to pay. I like to keep it simple.
I have very good experience with PayPal. I was one of the
early clients. I use the system since I have a presentation on the Internet.
First under EBIAIR,? since 1999. We sold secondhand aircraft and my multihull construction plans.
I was the first to sell multihull construction plans over the Internet
K-designs since 2001. It can be checked in the Whois.
I will also hold it this way.
