Re: Duo 660 Carbonmast

Hi Frank

This is a perfect mast. Good length and dimensions.

A wing mast section never is going thinner on the top. Buy it

Cheers

Bernd

Hi Bernd,
the plans of DUO 660 shows a mast from 2 pieces. But they will be glued. I have got an offer, but a little bit different:

One-piece carbon mast -tube 100/105.5mm length 8100 without shanks.
The mast has a foil winding surface and is further unprocessed.

In the plan its going thinner to the top, but does it really affect if it is not?

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Domenico
Good job!?

Will you glue the sail locker floor between BH 1 and 2 now or after turning the hulls? How about the floor of the aft deck near the transoms??

Cheers
Patrick

After the first 12 days of work, placed the BHs on the track and I finished putting all the douglas strips.
Now a short break and then we start again. Bye

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Patrick nice to hear your works are going well.
Yes there is an extra bulkhead between the BH4 and BH 5 that I had put on the first KD 122. Putting it now is easier as you know.

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Domenico
Bulkheads look good. Good work. Is there an extra bulkhead on both sides??

I will try to finish my Voyager before you finish this one!
We are trying to finish glassing the outside before the cold weather comes.?

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Yes Bernd the boat will be completely completed in this shed which is located 300M from the sea.
In addition to the climate that in southern Italy makes the difference for example today at 11 in the morning 23 degrees.

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Domenico

You are, as expected :-)) made a quick start.
You will build in this room too?

Ciao

Bernd

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Bernd I have opened a new photo gallery on the second construction of the KD 122 Italy
In three days I prepared the bineraio and hand-cut all the BHs from the offset table.

Re: Eco 65 houseboat "Galadriel"

Hi Holger

You got the hoax, sorry about that.
Nice to see your progress
Nice that you had an old-fashioned launch. I love it. With fire hose boat.
I believe you that it was a great moment
And congratulations
She floats perfectly.
I wish you success, that you have her ready in spring.
The devil sits in the detail work
You do a great job

Cheers

Sorry, a mix up.
You are still working on the boat

Cheers (too many I am afraid

Bernd

Re: Build of ECO62 (houseboat) starts

Hallo Bernd,
sorry I didn't send photos it must be Holgers Stapellauf. My build stucked for more than 3 months because I got a lumbar disk herniation which was very painful and prevented me from nearly all work. I'm better now but the building season is nearly over for this year.

Re: Eco 65 houseboat "Galadriel"

Dear Bernd and all,

just added some photos to my album. A lot of progress has been going on this summer. First the roof was built completely, sanded and glassed, the aft area is almost complete and the cabin got it's doors, hatch, almost all windows and has finally been varnished. Now she's been moved to her winter building place, but we took the chance to get her into the water for the first time! What a special moment seeing (and feeling) her swimming! :)

Next I'll glue in the remaining windows, and the following months I will continue working inside the cabin and hopefully to get this part finished until spring.?

Wish you all the best,

Greetings from Germany, Holger

Re: Build of ECO62 (houseboat) starts

Hallo Guenter

Thank you for the big photo series.
Congratulation?on the old-fashioned "stabellauf" photo.?
She floats perfect
Getting to a new workspace?
As always, the devil is in the details, before a boat is really finished.
Thanks again

Bernd

Re: KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Domenico
Nice to hear that you have started your second KD 122.
Nice temperature to work. By the way, here it would be also not bad at still 22 degrees

Good to get new input. I have the feeling that the people here are frozen
stiff already or have the spring fatigue.

KD 122 Italy two build

Hi Bernd
I started the second construction of the KD 122 in southern Italy.
Today October 19th I started with a temperature of 26 degrees.
It is much warmer than where I live in this period, I would say excellent for resin with epoxy.
Soon I open a new photo folder
bye

Wood suppliers

Many times I am asked for wood suppliers for boat building.
Here is a list of wood suppliers in America. Here is the link
