My apologies, Bernd - communication is generally difficult for me and everything new/marine is especially so. ?What I understood from above is that I do not have to build in a tube connecting the deck and the mast step like the one discussed here:?
Thinking this I decided it might be a good idea to reduce friction between the mast and the deck and build a DIY mast collar out of cutting board plastic like this?
