Nice to hear that you have started.
When you have made the bulkheads BH2 and 3 to the sheer height, it is okay. There is enough gluing area for the beams without the upper pieces for the beams, Figures 10 and 11. There is no drawing for a curved front.
Principal, I am against it. The shown angled lower front makes the area less prone to wave slamming.
