Please Tell Me What Designs You'd Like on Your Guitar Case
nancy brudigam
Hi,
I'm here because I'm trying to design? some guitar cases so
I thought I'd ask what kind of designs a guitarist would like. Since
I'm not a guitarist, your input would be valuable to me. To see what
I've done so far you can see some at the link below:??
Thanks Nancy B

Jimmy Bruno Status Update (Was: Jimmy Bruno Is Critically Ill)
Jimmy Bruno, a musical hero of mine and a dear personal friend for many years, is critically ill in a hospital near his home in suburban Philadelphia. A month ago he had a seizure due to a head injury after having fallen in his home.? He remains on a ventilator in the hospital. His improvement has been very slow, but fortunately he seems to be moving in the right direction. Please keep him in your thoughts. Rick Goosenberg P.S. If any of you know Jimmy and would consider making even a small contribution to his family's "Go Fund Me" account, search for "Support for Jimmy's Family" at . His family doesn't know that I'm posting this note here, but I know that his medical expenses will be astronomical so I thought it was reasonable to post a note like this to the group. I hope no one is offended by my post. |
Would you please help me identify a (Wes?) tune?
Dear Sirs,
Would you please take a look on the attached image and shed some light on this? Thank you so much in advance! Marco. |

Re: Help lifting something
Hi Chris,
When I read "help lifting something" I was afraid you wanted someone to help moving furniture. ?:-) I think your changes sound right. I hear more of a 6/9 or maj9 sound to all the maj7 chords and the Fmi7 sounds like mi11. The last 6 chords could be voiced like below: 1 x 1 3 1 x 2 x 1 1 2 x 2 x 1 1 2 x 4 x 3 3 4 x 6 x 5 5 6 x x 5 5 5 5 x ?or ?x 5 3 5 5 x Hope you can decipher that, Steve |
Re: Help lifting something
开云体育The underlying chords become pretty ambiguous because of the melody, but basically: Cmaj7(6) ?Emaj7sus#11 ?Emaj7(sus)#11 Fmaj7 (repeat 1X) Fm7? F#maj7#11? F#maj7#11? G#maj7? Bbmaj7? Dm9 ? ? ? Sent from for Windows 10 ? |
Help lifting something
I'm trying to lift the Robert Glasper tune entitled "FTB". You can hear it at:
Can someone with good ears help me clear up a discrepancy about the B section? I'm pretty sure the basic chords to the B section are: CMAJ7 EbMAJ7 EbMAJ7 FMAJ7 (repeat x 1) Fmin7 GbMAJ7 GbMAJ7 AbMAJ7 A guy in a jazz ensemble in which I am participating, claims it goes: Emin11 EbMAJ7 EbMAJ7 FMAJ7 (repeat x1) C7sus4 DbMAJ7 DbMAJ7 EbMAJ7 BbMAJ7 Dmin11 (based on a chart he found online... he didn't lift it from the recording) What do you guys here? Re: Watch "Jan Akkerman North Sea Jazz Festival 2011" on YouT...
Yeah, thought you'd like that. I was reading some old group messages from 2012 referencing Jan Akkerman, so, I went searching and found this non-Focus video of Jan.

Re: Top Exercises For Scales/Triads
I had another look at the books and I think all of the second volume of Basic Guitar Studies book may be contained in the Triads book from Billy Bauer's Guitar Instructor series (interspersed with many other exercises, etudes, etc that I find more interesting - and also with there being a lot more new content than the stuff from the old book),

I also got the second volume of Basic Guitar Studies mentioned long ago in this thread. ?It doesn't correspond to any of the books available in the Billy Bauer online store - it's a completely different book. ?(Apparently? . . . publishing books.) ?However, it's probably not worth bothering to get hold of based on what's in the second volume - it looks like fairly standard material (like arpeggios, etc) that you can get from other books that are still in print (and the Guitar Instructor series books are a lot more interesting), William |
