A few days ago, somebody on one of the two jazz guitar lists I'm subscribed to
asked about the availability of transcribed Benny Goodman solos to use for
practice purposes. Since I don't remember which list it was, I'm posting this to
both lists. I apologize to the list that wasn't the one where the inquiry was
made. Anyway, I have a book of 30 transcribed Goodman solos. It's the Benny
Goodman volume of the Jazz Masters series of books. I got it many years ago (the
price printed on the cover says $5.95!), and I don't know if it's still in
print, but at the time I bought it it was published by Consolidated Music
Publishers, 33 West 60th Street, New York, NY 10023. BTW, other books in the
series include Monk, Bird, Django and Charlie Christian.
