Questions about Six Essential Fingerings book by Jimmy Bruno

Hi all,

I picked up copy of "Six Essential Fingerings for the Jazz Guitarist"
by Jimmy Bruno.

Anyone used this book?

I've got a question about it.

For the scale pattern he calls "6V4" you start on the root of the
scale on the sixth string with your pinky finger.

I was wondering, how do those of you who use this scale system play
the major 7th arpeggio from this form? Looking around at JB's other
materials he says things like the goal is to always have the same
finger making the same sound. If I use that rule for arps, then the
fingering to go from scale to arp for this fingering results in the
middle box on the picture I made here:

That seems really awkward though, so I tend to play it like the third box.

Is this a problem? Is there a better way to finger this arpeggio?

Thanks!
