i have the epiphone emperor regent and am quite satisfied with it. at the
time i bought it, i did some comprisons to new gibsons and came away more
impressed with epiphone. i've known a few folks back in florida with the
sheraton and both were satisfied and one used it as his primary guitar. the
pickup on the emperor could use some slight improvement but it was probably
copied from the 1940's - 50's early humbucker and is attatched to the neck
not the body. my advice, is always, don't worry about price or brand name but
what suits you. plug it in and try it. bring your amp to the store if you
need to.
