The challenges and circumstances of the global pandemic threaten the viability of the club and keeping its staff employed. ?The rent and other bills need to be paid immediately and our hopes of keeping the venue open are dwindling. If funding does not become available to help this beloved club pay ongoing bills like rent, utilities, payroll to staff, and other necessities, it will not be able to continue to operate. Swing 46 will be forced to close its doors permanently and NYC will lose another precious live music venue, and the world will lose the only permanent space dedicated to big band swing dancing...."
