Are you unable to locate a like idler pulley spring or do you lack an example to match?

?

I have the 42" deck (I believe) from my LGT 145 leaning against the bench. ?I'll pull the cover and get the spring data if there's a need.

Tractor Supply has pulleys and bushing that will fit. I have the exact same LGT125 and am fixing my deck as we speak. However having no luck sourcing the idler pulley spring.

The center cutter assembly is no different than the outer two.? It¡¯s only the pulley that¡¯s different.? Unless the housing or the shaft are damaged, the bearings are easily available to refurbish the cutter.? I could probably find a center double pulley for the 42¡± in my stash if that¡¯s all you need.? The earlier 42¡± decks used the same shafts (1¡±) as the 50¡± decks with grease zerks, however the later 42¡± decks used a smaller (3/4¡±) shaft with sealed bearings, probably to reduce costs and noise.? The complete cutter assemblies are interchangeable as the shell mount is the same.

?

Never had the need to consider other cutter assemblies.? These, particularly the 1¡± ones are quite good.? A quick check of bearing condition when removing the blades for sharpening is all I¡¯ve ever needed; I replace the bearings when I detect some wear, but they typically have lasted years, mowing 2 acres.

Hi all, has anyone converted the 42" deck using "other brand" mandrels/spindle kits?

I'm just about done with my rebuild (blast, cut, weld, repaint) and find there are several parts no longer available.??
So, Ford/JAC loyalties aside, why not go with a Husq or other brand and just adjust the belt size to fit the?
new spindle system?? ?My primary issue is the center mandrel and double pulley being obsolete.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
