Recommended Mods (& not...)

Of the recommended mods to the stock uBitx, which are still
recommended when using the JackAl board?

I'll be changing L5 & L7 and probably the relays too.

John

If you're running the V4 or earlier board, it would appear that the relay changes will do the most good. The V4 units we have test okay for all bands but 15-10M, which we do use, so we haven't messed with the relay mod. We're still checking out the V5 board.

I've slept since the post that detailed the relays, but I think I recall they are made for RF work by Axiom. You can search the BITX20 Forum for the correct part number.

Arrow Electronics carries them at $2.20, 10 for $2.10, or 35 at $1.96. Everyone probably knows they don't charge for shipping, so order a bunch and sell them to club members.

I saw an ad by them for $8.60/4, but that was for the Axiom V23105-A5003-A201, not the Axiom V23105-A5403-A201. Does it make a difference??

Difference is in the coil sensitivity 150 mw instead of 200.

After looking at the spec sheet, they, (5003), appears to be a suitable, (maybe superior?). replacement for the 5403 which is a 400 mw coil, not as I said before 200.
Little bit higher coil resistance, same operating voltage, and they're only used for bandswitching.
I'll let you know how they work.
