Re: SD Micro Card

Jack,
Thanks for the clarification.?
Best wishes,

Guy WB7SZI?

Re: SD Micro Card

With 1Mb of flash and 256Kb of SRAM, we don't see the need for it. Even with all that JackAl does, you still have about 80% of flash and 85% of SRAM free for your own use. Some displays use an SD card to page in images or display pages, but RA8875 family doesn't rely on that. I've seen the SD's used for data storage, but that probably doesn't apply. Indeed, you could write an on-board logging package using the SD card and then download it when you "get home". I'm sure there are good uses for it, but we don't have one on the boards...

Re: Reset switch

No. You only have to do that once after you first install the Teensyduino software patch.

V5 and JackAl

All:

We just got our V5 boards and it appears that there will be no hardware changes needed to the JackAl board. We are working on the software changes, which we don't think will be too extensive. We did look at the 2nd IF filter response and it looks good:

We will keep you posted.

Elad Duo SDR and FTDX1200 for sale

All:

I need to thin the herd. I got the Elad Duo SDR xcvr just before the ?BITX came out and it is barely used...it still has the protective film on the display and top. It's a direct sampling SDR and does NOT need a computer to use, although Elad does provide a beautiful software package, too, if you want to use it with a PC/laptop. Compact 5 band with 8-10W typical. Reviews available on eham.com. For details, see:

The FTDX1200 is in perfect shape without dings or scratches. Details at:

Mic included on both. The Elad is $750 and the FTdx1200 is $700. You pay shipping charges. Prefer PayPal. Pickup would save both of us some cash. Please do not respond here, but contact me off list using my QRZ email address if interested. Pictures available.

Thanks for confirming this Mike.

I¡¯m working from my phone so I couldn¡¯t check the board layout and figured I¡¯d ask while the topic was fresh.

Thanks Ron,

Just to clarify in case I wasn¡¯t clear, my question is: If I were connect these unused ports on the teensy to the jackal board through holes, would it cause any problem?

I want to make sure there are no residual circuits on the jackal board that could cause trouble.
