Support for Capacitive Touch Screen?
Just wondering if that was ever an idea. Capacitive usually works much better than Resitive for touch screens, probably worth the extra $3. Of course if there are no libraries to support it that would

Re: Acceptable parts
The ST Miicro replacement for a common 3 terminal linear regulator is : L78S05CV is pin for pin, and 2 Amps. .71 cents for single quantities. (mouser, digikey, etc). Internet cheaper. Jack Wilker

Re: Acceptable parts
It really doesn't matter, provided that: 1) the current output is 1.25A or more2) the pinout match the circuit board. For example, if you look at the board, you'll see the 7805? regulator has the GND

Re: Acceptable parts
Oops, yup, missed that little "-".? Probably searching wrong on Digikey, but not finding a 7805 that is 1.5A when searching for " LM78 05 CT/NOPB-ND" .? Perhaps I need to go somewhere else? Mark
By Mark Hatch · #73 ·
Re: Acceptable parts
Neither is okay. The 7805 you listed for 1A is right at the margin. It needs to be above 1.25A. The 7905 is a regulator for negative voltages, so that won't work at all. Jack, W8TEE

Re: Acceptable parts
Digikey lists the 7805 as a 1A part. See:?https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=LM7805CT%2FNOPB-ND There is a LM7905 that is 1.5A:?

Re: Acceptable parts
I sent the edited file to Al, but he's up to his ass in alligators right now, as are we both, getting the software finished up. Everyone needs to know the regulator should be a 7805. Jack, W8TEE

I bought 50 of the transformers for my builder's group for around $21, including shipping. In 100 unit quantities, the cost was less than $0.35 each. In single-lot quantities, they are almost always
