6 months in advance. For instance, apply for Aug 15 on Feb 15 at 7 am PST

So is it a free-for-all on March 1 for August 29, 30, 31 and September 1st?
 

Permits are available for August 29, 30 and 31. I thought everything would be available at 7:00 AM, but they’re available now.
 

Some info for anyone trying to figure out Inyo NF’s release timing, I think 8/29-31 permits were released at midnight; I grabbed mine then. (Whether this year’s fire season will allow me to actually use them is an entirely different matter...)

That is because from Feb 28 to March 1, there are several days: 29, 30, 31. One advantage of the end of Feb.
