Thank you. I have updated my exit date to be 3 days later than my original.

You should be able to extend your permit exit date before your trek. Either on Recreation.gov or when you pickup your permit. Where are you starting/exiting from?
I usually pad my exit dates just in case of delays or that I'm too slow.
