you may consider to buy the tent in the US? - I got my Durston Xmid pro1 for the PCT delivered to a friend in the US, but a hotel address or PO General Delivery (check that this PO offers General Delivery) may work, too.

Hi guys, I will be doing the JMT in August and thinking of saving weight. Whats your experience - will a tarp be enough or should I go with a tent?
