Yes, that is how I read it (Yosemite wilderness permit) and that is why I got the day pass.
However, I am going to Yosemite this Saturday for overnight wilderness camping. I will ask the ranger?this specific question, if I don't call them beforehand and ask them.

The way I read it, you need an entrance permit UNLESS you have a reservation or wilderness permit IN Yosemite.?
