NoBo July29- Aug 29. I’m not worried. I know all the exit points each year I go and since it isn’t my first JMT, I am fully in acceptance that the journey could potentially end early. I experienced the most smoke in 2020. Not enjoyable to hike in and fully
disrupted my views.?
End of Aug 2021 I experienced a lot of fire smoke while departing Reds Meadow NoBo and decided to turn around.
The trail isn’t going anywhere and there’s freedom in being a local.
