Correct, not as long as the TM campground is closed. Closest in-park backpacker campground is White Wolf, but that¡¯s still 25 miles from TM and would require a hitch or ride to/from TM (or - possibly - I think the YARTS-Mammoth route stops at White Wolf and TM?).
