FWIW, midweek late last August we had no problems w/o reservations getting from Fresno to Yosemite Valley to Mammoth to Bishop in one long day.?

Does anyone know when it will be possible to book reservations for summer travel on YARTS? It seems like the reservation system will not allow for booking yet, at least not for August, probably because the summer schedule is not finalized yet.
Normally, I would not stress out over being able to ride YARTS (Merced to Yosemite Valley and Yosemite Valley to Mammoth) but given the COVID limitations and what seems like crazy demand for permits this year, I am nervous about all of the logistical factors related to my trip! ?
Prior to 2020 a travel snafu that caused a delay was not that bad for east side entry because the old walk-up system made it very likely to get something on the same day of entry. However, now with "walk ups" reservable two weeks ahead of time, a delay could mean not going on the hike at all.
