we just bought our bear canisters in a sale at REI for a 20% discount.?
Regarding the fact it might not be the last hike in the Sierra for you, get one e.g. the bear vault 500 for around 50-60 US dollars

One note regarding Wild Ideas: make sure to reserve it soon. They often run out of rentable canisters months in advance.?
Amazing canisters, by the way. We¡¯ve owned two for over ten years and they still look almost like new after 200+ nights in the backcountry.

You can rent from the Forest Service or Elevation in Lone Pine, or a really good one from Wild Ideas.? CHeck with Wild Ideas to see if they will deliver to you General Delivery in Lone Pine/?
