Need advice on using J-say on two computers

开云体育

I currently have only the one system, but I've been considering buying a second computer.

?

If I understand correctly, the licensing for J-say and Dragon is only for use on one system. Where jaws can be licensed for multiple computers when needed.

?

I understand that J-say is attached to the jaws serial number.

?

My question involves what expense would be involved in licensing a second computer. As well as anything to be alerted of in the setup process for the second potential system.

?

If there is something in the manual, or something online to study up on this topic, I would appreciate being sent a link to read about it.

?

Thanks for your assistance,

?

Thank you for your enquiry.

?

Provided you are using JAWS with the same serial number on each of the computers, you can in turn install J-Say onto those same computers. This was one of the first paragraphs ever written into the J-Say User Guide back in 2004 when the product was launched. There is no further cost involved.

Are there any special steps with Dragon to do this?

Mandy, you are going to have to be a bit careful if you are going to do this. In theory, you should be able to install Dragon onto two computers without any issue. But in my experience you cannot do more than this. Nuance are very very strict on this issue. If you want to change the machine, you will need to uninstall Dragon from Machine A. What should happen is that the key should then be returned to the server so you can install it onto a new one, but I've found this very rarely works. You have to call Nuance, submit proof of the original order, and it's all extremely complicated and I hate doing that. But you should be able to do two machines.?

After installing on two machines, do you have to be careful to only use one machine at a time?
Thank you!

From a legal perspective, JAWS, Fusion and Dragon’s License Agreement permit you to only use the software on one computer at a time. For example, the JAWS/Fusion license agreement, which you accepted when you installed it, says this:

Use of the Program is limited to only one Computer at a time.
