Re: Dump1090

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I had to blacklist some RTL devices in /etc/modprobe.d/ (sent pic)
If I didn't dump1090 --interactive wouldn't work.
I also sent pics of it working in interactive and the lsusb 1 is keyboard and the other is a wireless mouse.

I am using RTLsdr from vilros?
Is sdrplay better??

Thanks a lot!?
I appreciate this a bunch!

Re: Dump1090

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I went into terminal and typed command: (dump1090 --interactive --net) and everything works great!?

When I go to the browser and type (http://localhost:8080) I cannot get the map to load and show all the airplanes.
It tells me: error opening html file: no such file or directory.

I had to blacklist 3 drivers to get dump1090 to work, and everything else seems ok so far.

Thanks for your help!

Dave,

Frist and foremost, i wish to than you for all effort you put in HamPi/HamPC projects. It's not easy make all of this work.

I would like to kindly suggest, that the previous versions become available in some way.

I believe that we could more easily determine if it is a problem with the current version (be it the iso compilation or any other bug).

Based on what I have been observing here, I assume that it is not a question of the iso not being bootable, but a corrupted iso.

Re: Laptop Install

Ignore my last.
I see your problem ,unlike Raspberry Pi Desktop which offers the install option on boot this is a ¡°live¡± disk?
which would have to be cloned to the laptop hard disk .

Re: Laptop Install

Yes a couple of times.
I followed these instructions:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Download the file named "HamPC_v[version].iso.xz" to your hard drive.

You do not need to decompress this file before flashing it to a USB thumb drive.

You will need a USB thumb drive 16GB or larger (32GB recommended)

On Windows, use a program called Rufus found at rufus.ie to write this image to a USB thumb drive.

Next, configure your PC to boot from the (UEFI) USB thumb drive and restart. (Generally this is a BOOT setting in the computer BIOS or is activated by a special key press during boot. This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.) By the way, I'm sure I'm not covering everyone's infinite number of configurations -- if I haven't covered something here, please reply back so I can disseminate that information to future users.

Laptop Install

I was wondering is anyone has loaded the image to a laptop. If so, what steps and download did you use?

I am looking to install it on a 32-bit laptop and have with my go-kit. The image I have will not boot to do an install.

Re: Problem Starting Up HamPC v1.2b

Dave,

I certainly will do that, but I have some more information on the problem.? The display problem is on my Dell 2-in-1 tablet (it works as a tablet and a laptop.??

When I attached a full size monitor to the HDMI, the full size monitor works.? No changes to the tablet screen resolution worked properly, but the full size monitor worked OK.

I will test some more and get back to you with a screen shot if I cannot find a configuration that work.
