RUFUS won't write to USB drive
Using the latest rufus: rufus-4.3.exe .? The fresh 128 Gb drive is recognized as is the img.xz file.? Clicked the check mark and the ready rectangle turns green.? The process starts by writing new partitions and then stops.? The drive is no longer a lettered drive (D:) in windows - its is now drive 1.? Hitting START again gives the same result.
I have done this with two fresh USB drives and they are both bricked.?? HELP! (BTW - I am using HamPI with a Pi4 to run JS8call on a QDX.? VERY stable.? Hamclock is also great, both as a cool display as for setting the system clock.? Really hoping to get the little windows machine to behave as well.) 73, Glen W6GJB |
HamPC Hamclock orbital data update issue.
Hello everyone!
I have an issue with Hamclock updating the satellite orbital data and in discussions with Elwood, (the developer of Hamclock) I was asked to provide him with the diagnostic file in the Home/Hamclock folder. The issue is that I am unable to locate the Hamclock folder to get to the file to forward to Elwood. Where is the Hamclock folder located? HamPC is my first foray into the world of Linux so please be kind. I have the show the hidden files option enabled and am logged in as an administrator, so what am I missing? I would greatly appreciate any assistance that anyone can extend to me! 73's and Best regards,? David KD9JEO? |
Re: Installing on Mac-Mini
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have a Mac Book Pro 2007 with the same processor architecture.? As long as it is an Intel based dual core or higher it should run just fine.? Just be aware that you will have to flash the HAM-PI image to the hard drive for it to work.? ? 73, ? Herbert K7HAD ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of ve6gl

Re: HamPC Screen Sharing to Roku TV
Hello Karl! I will certainly post it and I want to thank you for your help! I have found several options but haven't tested them yet, but I expect to publish the solution later today! Here is a link to a couple of YouTube videos if you are interested:? Note: I could not find videos specifically for Xubuntu which is the operating system for HamPC but I will do more research on Google later today. Also note that in the videos that I have seen, you must use Chrome cast extensions on Roku for this to work. I will try to find additional apps, etc., later today and understand that I have not yet tested the solutions in the above. 73'S and Best regards, David L. Fodor, KD9JEO? Re: HamPC Screen Sharing to Roku TV
Hello Karl! I do have a HDMI port, however, I would prefer to cast wirelessly so that I can have the tablet display the information on one desk and the TV display the same information on my other two desks.? Re: HamPC Screen Sharing to Roku TV
What kind of graphics output does your PC have? If you have an HDMI output, just run a cable from the PC to the Roku TV (not a ROKU stick!).If you don't have an HDMI output from your PC, you can adapt VGA, USB-C. and DVI video outputs to HDMI. Plug in the cable to your TV and your PC and Bob's your uncle! 73! -------------------------------KK4KRK Taylor Mill, Kentucky? "I have decided to stick with love. Who's Going to Dayton Hamvention?
For those of you on these HamPi / HamPC groups, I thought I should mention I'll be driving up to the Dayton/Xenia area tonight after work and will be at the Dayton Hamvention on Friday and Saturday.
If you'd like to have an "Eyeball QSO", please send me a private message with your mobile number and I'll text you to make arrangements. Although, if you're "Google Fu" is mighty, you can probably figure out my mobile number from the "almighty oracle" and text me directly (don't forget your name and callsign). 73, -- -- Dave,?? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Technical Specialist,??-- --??
