What winter projects do you have lined up.
I have an SR-400 Cyclone. I got it from a fellow who, unsuccessfully, attempted?to upgrade it to a Cyclone II. It looks?like a complete strip and rebuild from the first 1650 IF amp through the second 1650 IF amp.
Also have a nice looking SR-500, still looking for a good set of original 8236's it.
And that is it...... I am now the proud owner of many empty shelves, where old boat anchors once sat.

Sounds like some nice projects.? I plan to sell off some gear. I have way too many radios.? I still have the restored SR2000 if anyone wants it.??
As for projects, I am helping a friend get his S line station with 30S1 going. Hopefully it wont be that bad.?

Have a few FPM300's that I'm going to try to make work. Most need caps in the power supply, few other fixes. See how far I get. Looking forward to some fixing ? Sandy WN6CTY? On Wed, Oct 16, 2024, 8:01?AM waltcates via <cateswa=[email protected]> wrote:

Still picking away as time permits on my SR-150s. The kitchen renovation project has stretched out into a couple of other areas which needed attention but am making progress on the one radio. Once done (?), the new info will hopefully help with the second radio. Then just a matter of getting them on the air. Wishing success to all on their projects. BTW, was just gifted with a complete HT-37 sideband generator unit minus tubes and audio network. Will be taking a look inside to see how it compares with the prototype unit in my rig. 73 ... 开云体育I have quite a few projects that need to be completed.I just finished upgrading a Hallicrafters S-85 using hayseedhamfest S-85 capacitor kit. I had to replace the Sensitivity pot, clean the volume control pot, and replaced a few out of tolerance resistors. Aligned the main tuning dial that was off a bit which affected the tuning of the Band Spread dial. Replaced the 2 #44 dial lamps with 6V LED lamps. I'm also working on a 1959 Collins 75S-1 (serial number 1036) receiver that's in very good physical condition, to bring it back to life. I have a few other projects such as performing a complete rebuild of a Knight T-60, finish building the power supply for a BC-312N receiver, and rebuilding my BC-348L's AC power supply and get it working. 73 Mike W5RKL On 10/16/24 11:08 AM, edward schumacher

Adam, I did a similar project a few years ago. In the HT41, I replaced the 15 amp circuit breaker whose contacts had been chewed up by years of abuse. Also, remove the on/off current from the front panel switches and diverted the on/off switch current to a relay with 30 amp contacts. The front panel switch contacts were also chewed up from years of use. Now the front panel switches just switch relay coil current. Recapped the HV and installed a RF bypass/amp stand-by relay with a switch on the rear of the chassis. This allows me to operate barefoot or with a flick ?of the rear switch at full power.? The red LED next to the fan illuminates?when the amp is in the circuit. ????73, Dave WA3GIN |
