1964 Hallicrafters Flyer
I was recently given some ham related books. In one I found a 1964 16 page (3-1/2" x 8-1/2") Hallicrafters flyer that was being used as a book mark. The flyer title is "Short Wave (Plus Local Broadcast) Receivers". I scanned it, cleaned it up and put it up on our club website. The URL is:

Thought it might be of some interest to members of this group. Feel free to add it to the group files if you'd like.

Thanks for posting that flyer. I discovered the SW bands in the mid-'60s, and that flyer captures the excitement of SWLing in that era, where the bands were alive with fascinating broadcasts every evening.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Joe Connor

Thanks Bob, didn't have that one.? It's been added to the group files and credit given.

I'm sure there are still many flyers and publications we don't have.

Thanks Bill for adding the flyer to the files. I'm glad the flyer was appreciated by so many. Makes the scanning effort pleasantly worthwhile. There is a lot of radio history, and flyers like that need to be saved and made available.
?
I have an S-40, and an SX-100 I restored, as well as a very clean SX-71 which is sporting a new Hayseed Hamfest electrolytic in the power supply, and working, but not yet restored. I like to get a radio going, and then do the restoration from the audio output section back to the first RF section, one stage at a time, rechecking the radio after each stage. Thus, if I screw-up, it's so much easier to find the problem! Luckily that doesn't happen too often! It also occasionally results in a surprise when suddenly the radio improves immensely.
?
Bill, I still have the original flyer I scanned. I'm near the age where I need to downsize. I'd be more than happy to send you the actual flyer to add to the Hallicrafters collection. I can send it to your QRZ address. Just let me know. I can afford the stamp!

Bob,

Thanks for the offer but, I have already downsized my Halli stuff, 75 Yo here.? Most everything I had, is now on the site including pictures of every Halli I ever owned.
?
But, if you really want to, my address is good on QRZ.COM as they say and I'll add it to the 3 ring binders I have of Halli pubs.
?
I don't know if anyone here ever noticed, but my call K2WH is K2 (W)illiam (H)alligan.
