Speaking of R-96 rcvrs..

Paul Thekan All Messages By This Member #28103 Edited G'day all ?On a separate thread here on LF rcvrs there was mention of two members here having a R-96 rcvr. This was the first time I'd ever heard of someone else having one.? I have the Postwar Hallicrafters R-96A/SR s/n 50. The xmtr on top was used with the rcvr and is the the T-83/SR. The top of the rcvr cabinet has 4 small indents that the xmtr bottom fits onto. I've seen pics of the wartime R-96 with a much different and simpler dial face. If anyone has? R-96 I'd like to know the s/n as I'd like to get an idea on how many we're made. Tnx Paul N6FEG?
