Re: HP8924C Saved Settings Transfer
Yes, that's covered in your 8924C User's Guide which is 08924-90038.pdf in our files section (search on "8924" to find it). It's the section called "Saving and Recalling Instrument Setups" beginning

Re: 8924C Won't Power On
Thank you for the reassuring advice as well as the link that allowed me to follow it all the way down to a PDF. I think due to the age of this I'm better off in the long run replacing the entire PSU.

Re: 8924C Won't Power On
I'd say the same. It is a lot of work, you gotta buy QUALITY capacitors, patience, patience, patience. At least you can buy a revised, remanufactured power supply with full warranty from Amtronix.

Re: 8924C Won't Power On
Take it from me, recap them all. Or you will be like me and digging back into that PSU in another year or so wishing you had. Plus, its not so hard to remove the glue. A good tug with pliers and it

Re: Program to retrieve HP8920 calibration data...
Oliver, I think you're referring to the software to effect the extraction of the cal data from your 8920. That's here in our file section in the "HP8920 Tools" folder:

YES, a bad cap! I fortunately heard back from Amtronix this evening. Not only does he have replacement power supplies available but he actually showed me which capacitor normally goes out. I will try

Re: 8924C Won't Power On
Yes, you can often get by just replacing the small capacitors on on or two of the vertical boards. I must confess that I¡¯ve done this rather than the full recap of the supply. So far, I¡¯ve been
