Re: Agilent 8920b non-recoverable error #hp8920b

So far the tants seem okay, no shorted ones (or close thereto), some I removed and tested with a capacitor tester. I think I found what I needed for Q1-Q4 and CR1 so hopefully that fixes some things. I really wish I could dig into the PALCE chips, but alas, they are read protected, would like to have the image or Jedec file for them... just in case, but they are pretty robust chips so the need for them is low. I believe that is what is calculating checksum and some other items. Keyboard thing will be weird to figure out, but I can refer to the 8922M service manual since this unit shares the same controller card. I have a feeling, since the other card had the keyboard issue but then it went away, it may be a processor issue, since that's what I moved over to get this card to boot, not sure, then again, making sure all pins are connected well is a pain with needle probes. I could just get some NOS processors haha, but yea, still checking logic chips, i really need to get a cheap multichannel logic analyzer with small probes for this purpose, just for checking functions live on board a little easier.

If anyone has any other ideas it would be appreciated. Also, when running without the A5 card when it would boot, i could run the msdiags and the self test, obviously the serial IO fails, but the voltage table is a little confusing. The power supply is putting out proper voltages to the motherboard.
