Completely OT: We are looking for someone who will scan and 3D print a small HP part for us. The part is the Nose Piece for the HP RF/AC probe used on the HP 410C/HP 410B.
? We are not looking for a freebie, we are happy to compensate for services.

Thank You

3D scanning has lagged far behind 3D printing. How complex is the shape of the part? Do you think it might be more feasible to CAD model it and 3D print that? Just a thought.

It's a fairly simple nose-cone-like shape; however, I think the tricky part is there are some fine OD threads that might not print well and, instead, may need to be machined after printing.

Thanks,

I have some fairly decent 3D scanning hardware in my lab, and probably more appropriately, high-resolution digital coordinate probes that can be used to pick accurate measurements off of parts, directly into printable models.

if you¡¯d like us to take a crack at it, I¡¯d be happpy to give it a go.

(of course, i¡¯ve got standard plastic FDM printers, powder-bed printers and SLA printers available too.)
